Collingdale Fire Company #2 is located in Delaware County Pa. The fire company was charted January 31, 1917. In those days the apparatus was horse-drawn or hand-drawn. The first piece of apparatus owned by the fire company was a hose reel. The hose reel was mounted on five foot wheels and pulled by a piece of rope attached to the front. The first President of the company was Hugh Carlin. After raising the funds, the fire company purchased a lot at Rhodes and Mac Dade Blvd and a building was built that was one story tall. |
